BOOK REVIEW - SUPERMODEL TIPS - RUNWAY SECRETS FROM THE WORLD'S TOP MODELS...

Supermodel Tips by Carly Hobbs came out in August but I have only just had chance to read and review this book. Although I'm not a big fan of these type of books the fact that Carly had managed to get so many tips from top models prompted me to buy it.

Just a few of the tips included -
'Twist up your hair after you've washed it and let it dry like that. When you let it down, it will have a gorgeous natural wave' Naomi Campbell

‘After applying your lipstick, blot your lips with your fingers and then pat the remaining colour on your cheeks for an instant glow’ Kate Moss

'Use intensive masks on your tresses and have it trimmed regularly, I also take vitamin supplements to keep my hair healthy from the inside out' Eva Herzigova
It's crammed to the brim with insider tips and tricks on all things in beauty to achieve the best results.

I know we don't like to talk Christmas just yet, but I do think this book would make a great stocking filler for anyone interested in beauty.

TOP TWO HAND CREAMS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE...

According to Good Housekeeping, Clinique Even Better Spot Correcting Hand Cream SPF 15 £25 comes out as the top cream for hands. Testers said it left hands more hydrated six hours after the product was applied and made a real difference to skin quality.

Their second choice is Roger & Gallet Bienfaits Hand & Nail Balm £6. Tester for this product say that their hands were also much smoother after just one week. I can personally comment on this product as I took it on holiday with me (ideal travel size). My husband used it for two days after his fingers and palm started to crack and dry out in the hot climate. After just 48 hours the difference was amazing.

WHY GETTING A FOOT MASSAGE CAN HELP WITH ANXIETY...

Reflexology foot massage is available at The Hair & Beauty Lounge and not only is it a relaxing treatment it has been noted that it has other benefits as well.

By using aromatherapy oils with your massage can help fight anxiety (new studies have shown).

It is thought to boost levels of the calming hormone 'oxytocin', and the natural pain reliever serotonin.

Aromatherapist and Reflexologist Kirstin Luff says 'If you are doing this yourself simple press and rub your foot with both hands, using a firm pressure for best results'.

Try Luff's Relax Foot Cream, with Lavender, Ylang, Ylang and Vetivert Oils.
