Lipstick Day has been formed to celebrate that lovely stick that we all use on a daily basis whether to use it for a beautiful pout, to flaunt with or for a message on a mirror. We ladies do adore our lipstick.

And did you know that Sarah Bernhardt created a scandal by applying lip rouge in public and also that Queen Victoria considered makeup 'hugely impolite' and intended only to mark the most 'impolite' of women.

Yet, Winston Churchill found lipstick to be a wonderful morale booster and refused to limit its production during World War 11.

We offer a few different manicures, one of which is our popular 'full manicure with gels'. If you haven't had a manicure before then get ready to feel pampered.

You will start by having any current nail polish removed as well as your nails shaped and filed. The beautician will then apply cuticle cream onto your cuticles and push them down. You will then have one hand left soaking while the beautician works on the other hand.

Now comes the really relaxing part while the beautician gives you a hand massage using techniques to completely relax your hands.

It will then be time for you to choose from a number of gel nail polishes. Firstly a clear top coat is applied and then your nails are put under a UV light for a minute then two layers of the polish which will also be put under the UV light, then finished with a top coat and the UV light which sets the gel.
