We offer a few different manicures, one of which is our popular 'full manicure with gels'. If you haven't had a manicure before then get ready to feel pampered.

You will start by having any current nail polish removed as well as your nails shaped and filed. The beautician will then apply cuticle cream onto your cuticles and push them down. You will then have one hand left soaking while the beautician works on the other hand.

Now comes the really relaxing part while the beautician gives you a hand massage using techniques to completely relax your hands.

It will then be time for you to choose from a number of gel nail polishes. Firstly a clear top coat is applied and then your nails are put under a UV light for a minute then two layers of the polish which will also be put under the UV light, then finished with a top coat and the UV light which sets the gel.

Stylist Jodie O'Hagan has been helping Megan raise funds for ' The Little Princess Trust' which donates hair to make wigs for children. Megan decided to get 16" cut from her locks close to Christmas so that her hair could be one of their little girls or boys Christmas present.

The Little Princess Trust has been running since 2006 making wigs for children unfortunate enough to have lost their hair through cancer treatments such as chemotherapy or in some cases even alopecia.

Celebrities like Judy Dench, Dame Helen Mirren and many others have brought the grey hair back into fashion. GEL POLISH MANICURE...

A gel manicure will start with a nail and cuticle tidy up then nail preparation for gel nails.

The usual nail polish is replaced with a UV Gel polish which is applied in thin coats then cured under a UV or LED lamp.

A clear top coat and base coat is also applied and some nail technicians also offer nail art.

This type of nail polish can last up to 2 weeks. The next procedure will start with the removal of the polish that is still on your nails. The nails are either soaked in a solution, or wrapped in foils with pads soaked in a solution until the polish lifts away. Sometimes they may use an orange stick or scraper to remove left over polish.

I personally find my nails a lot stronger and love the finished look which lasts very well.
