AUTUMN/WINTER 2014 NAIL TRENDS...

According to Bridget March writing in  Cosmopolitan the Autumn/Winter 2014 Nail Trends are going to be from nudes to nail art, with something for everyone this season.

Moody hues will return will return bringing autumnal tones like grey, and navy skies, mossy greens and deep rusty reds. Nude nails continue to be on trend, and metallic shades will always be big for the party season. Two tone nails are the way to wear nail art this season and the short and almond shape is imminent this winter.

GEL POLISH MANICURE...

A gel manicure will start with a nail and cuticle tidy up then nail preparation for gel nails.

The usual nail polish is replaced with a UV Gel polish which is applied in thin coats then cured under a UV or LED lamp.

A clear top coat and base coat is also applied and some nail technicians also offer nail art.

This type of nail polish can last up to 2 weeks. The next procedure will start with the removal of the polish that is still on your nails. The nails are either soaked in a solution, or wrapped in foils with pads soaked in a solution until the polish lifts away. Sometimes they may use an orange stick or scraper to remove left over polish.

I personally find my nails a lot stronger and love the finished look which lasts very well.
